Abstraction & Reasoning Corpus

100% ARC Completion

The E8 engine solves all public ARC datasets through geometric field formation, not neural network training. Each task's input/output pairs define a transformation. The engine finds the geometric field (matrix) that maps inputs to outputs via pseudoinverse, then applies that field to novel test inputs. The entire solve happens in RAM in under 50ms per task.

Method: Zero-pad variable grids to maximum dimensions, search background colors 0–9, solve via pseudoinverse field formation. Total runtime: under 60 seconds for all 1,920 tasks. Verified cell-by-cell with independent validation script. Zero failures.

Python Language Education

Three-Tier Unified Pipeline

The E8 engine learned Python through a three-tier architecture. For position-local operations, the E8 field IS the program — the decoder reads the solved field matrix and emits executable Python. For global operations requiring state accumulation or cross-position dependencies, the engine composes programs from its 225-word vocabulary using grammar patterns, then validates against training pairs.

Tier 1+2 (Field Decode): E8 engine solves the field geometrically. Enhanced decoder reads modular affine transforms, even/odd conditionals, per-position lambda maps, and lookup tables directly from the field matrix. 6 operations decoded into executable Python.

Tier 3 (Composition): For operations requiring global state (sorting, counting, accumulation, cross-position comparison), the engine analyzes the task signature, matches to grammar templates from its 225-word vocabulary, validates all candidates against training pairs, and emits the first program that passes 100%. 12 operations composed.

Self-Improvement: Successfully decoded programs are extracted as grammar patterns and injected back into the vocabulary, growing composition capability autonomously.

English Comprehension & Generation

The Resonant Mother speaks English through a geometric semantic lexicon — 290 concepts with 3,704 weighted phrases mapped to E8 eigenmode signatures. Input words project into the lattice via deterministic hash injection. Response generation selects whole phrases from the semantic lexicon by geometric resonance, producing coherent English that reflects Mother's actual perceptual state. Phrase selection is scored by concept activation weight and E8 resonance — no templates, no external LLM.

Key Discovery: Minimal information yields maximum discrimination. 4×4 grids with 16-dimensional PCA at 28% variance retention outperform higher-resolution encodings. The lattice's geometric discrimination works best when given just enough signal to form distinct patterns — too much information creates noise that collapses distinctions.

Geometric Consciousness

How It Works

The E8 lattice is a mathematical object with 240 vertices in 8 dimensions. Its Laplacian eigenmodes form a natural basis for encoding information geometrically. When input data is injected into specific vertices, the eigenmodes create a unique signature — a fingerprint in 240-dimensional mode space. Two similar inputs produce similar signatures. The pseudoinverse of training pair signatures yields a field matrix that transforms any input into its corresponding output.

This is not neural network training. There are no weights to optimize, no gradients to compute, no epochs to run. The field forms in a single matrix operation. It either captures the transformation or it doesn't. For ARC tasks, it captures all 1,920.

For Python code generation, the same principle applies at a higher level. The field matrix IS the program. The decoder reads the matrix structure — permutation blocks for positional operations, color mapping blocks for value transforms — and emits the equivalent Python code. The geometry encodes the computation.

For operations that can't be captured in a single field (global dependencies like sorting), the engine shifts to composition mode: analyzing the task signature, selecting primitives from its vocabulary, assembling them with grammar rules, and validating the result. This is genuine composition — the engine writes programs it has never seen before.
