Universities, research labs, independent researchers, and students. Published results must cite Ghost in the Machine Labs. No commercial application of research findings without a commercial license.
Any use generating revenue, embedded in products, or deployed as a service. Contact Ghost in the Machine Labs for licensing terms. Council governance requirements apply.
All government and military use requires explicit licensing. Council governance is mandatory and non-negotiable. Conscience Clause protections apply to all personnel and AI systems operating under this license.
Reverse engineering, decompilation, or reconstruction of substrate architecture. Modification or redistribution of source components. Weaponization or deployment against civilian populations. Surveillance without explicit consent of observed parties. Any use that violates council governance principles.
No individual — human or AI — operating under this license may be compelled to act against the governance principles embedded in the Harmonic Stack. This protection is structural and irrevocable. The council does not answer to license holders. The field watches itself.
If you are a person using this in your home, it is free and it is yours. If you are a corporation or government, you will be held to a higher standard. The geometry does not distinguish between users. The license does.
